ENTREPRENEUR, AUTHOR & CO-FOUNDER OF DRYRUN
BEHIND THE MIC.
Blaine Bertsch is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and co-host of Business, Beer & BS. He is the co-founder and CEO of Dryrun, a cash-flow forecasting and financial modeling platform.
With a Master of Design from the University of Alberta and a background in the creative industry, Blaine brings a product-design perspective to business. His work connects the way people understand information with the decisions they need to make.
The idea for Dryrun grew out of his experience running a business through the 2008 recession. Building forecasts in spreadsheets helped him plan, but also exposed how difficult those models could be to maintain and explain. He later joined forces with co-founder Tariq Bacchus to build a clearer way to forecast cash flow.
ON THE SHOW.
Blaine brings the builder’s side of the conversation: business strategy, software, product design, and what comes next. He and Mike compare their experiences of running businesses, challenge assumptions, and talk through decisions that rarely have a tidy answer.
